Help on buying quality sound headphones?

I am looking for headphones that seal off noise around you and have excellent music sound quality. I am looking to spend around $50 or more, any ideas?

You might want to be a little more specific about your price range.
For $50 or more I would suggest the Audio Technica ATH-W2002 (or the other, cheaper aXXX models), also for closed phones the Sennheiser HD280, from AKG Acoustics the 271s, for a bassier headphone the Beyerdyamic DT770-80, from Sony the MDR-CD3000. For canalphones which would be the best for isolation, anything from Shure, Etymotic, and Ultimate Ears in your pricerange will do. Search this forum for some more info also.
