hey what are some good program to benchmark hardrives and make sure they are ok like test the bandwidth and all that?

HDtach is one of the best, in my opinion. Very consistent results.

HDTach is actually one of the worse (earlier versions where far worse)

use Winbench 99 then compare your results to the SR Database
