Posting this in disk storage, since someone with a SAN background should know what I'm talking about. Ok, this may sound stupid, but where can I find software that will move files from one folder to another based on how many MB is in a given folder? You see, I am in the middle of selling a company a $200K data storage and tape backup system, but no enterprise-grade app (Legato, Commvault) will do migration from proprietary file systems since they integrate with NTFS/FAT to do all sorts of fancy crap. So I need something braindead that will grab all files in folder A once it reaches X size and move them to folder B (which happens to be on another disk array). All of the systems are Windows 2003 Server.
Suggestions? Batch scripts? Software? I found an app called FileInbox, but it sort of sucks. When you set it to migrate once the folder reaches 2MB, it is OK if it's 2.75MB or 2.99MB. But 3MB triggers the migration. I sort of want something more professional than a freeware app some Russian coded in his spare time. Again, even a batch script would be fine.
