Please check this motherboard out:
http://www.evalue-tech.com/products/EMB-9277.cfm (http://www.evalue-tech.com/products/EMB-9277.cfm)
It has an ISA slot (for a loudspeaker design card that I use) and many of the faster options of newer boards.

My question is about the memory that I should buy for this. I will also be doing video editing, so I am starting with 2 Gig. I am wondering about the Cas Latency spec. When I look up DDR 400, which this takes, there are all kinds of different timings. (I know generally the lower number the better). So far, I have decided on this:

Does the timing depend on the motherboard supporting it?
Would any of you prefer a different brand of RAM?
Also if any of you have any opinions or ideas about the memory that I should buy, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Any feedback is welcome.

The board is on back order, so I don't have the manual yet.
Thank you all very much for a great web site.

It will also have the following:
Win XP pro sp2
2-300 gig Maxtor sata drives
Socket 478 P4 3.2-1 meg cache processor.
(Eventually) a good high-def recording video card
Antec case
