I have a 160gb drive in my PC. It has a 20GB windows partition. I have had a 40GB drive sitting around.

I want to move my windows installation over to the 40GB drive and merge the 140 and 20GB partitions on my 160GB drive into one partition.

Is there any easy way to do this without formatting my 160GB drive? Any paying $70 for partition magic.

Throw the 40gb in as a slave, and use ghost to copy the 20gb partition to the 40gb. Then format the 160gb

if he still has data on his 160, then formatting it wouldnt be all that cool, would it?

partition magic 8 is your best alternative. if your going to do any moving of important files i suggest you back up before you do anything like that. I have lost data a few times when using P magic.
