Hello, I am building a new machine. These are the components I will be using:
Case: Thermaltake's Sunami Dream with included 400w power supply
MB: MSI K8N Neo 2 Platinum
Processor: Athalon 64 3200+
HD: WD Raptor 74gig, WD Caviar 80gig. (Waiting for delivery on the Raptor)
VC: E-GeoForce 6800 GT
Mem: Samsung 1gig DDR 400 MT (I don't know much about this mem. will buy better memory later)
Sound: (Yet to purchase)

My question: Is there anything I should be aware of installing Windows XP Pro? I plan to midly overclock once it is built. Any replies greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have your raptor drivers, press F6.

And watch out for those Athalons :p

That's about it.

My advice would be to install XP Pro, and then worry about overclocking after the install is done.
