I have the CNPS 7000 CPU Cooler for my AMD 2800+, recently ive noticed that it has become literally covered in dust, around the inner side of the heatsink. I ordered filters because of this problem but i was just wondering if this could affect the cooling potential of my heatsink, besides just making it look like crap and make me sneeze everytime i open my case.

Yes the dust will effect the cooling potential of your hsf. I periodically check mine for that reason and blow it out the can-o-air.

oh okay, ive noticed that my cpu has been getting pretty hot aka above 55 when its usually low 40s but my room temp has also been very hot considering its teh winter and my computer is in a small room so i know that has a lot to do with cpu temps as well.
