Diss the graphics all you wish, the gameplay is the best part. It's an MMO, did you really expect the game to be highly graphic intensive with 100s people in one area, and to bring your PC to it's knees? Sorry but when I'm in a raid I prefer to not have my FPS at 2 just because it looks good. :rolleyes: Looks aren't everything, *cough Doom III *cough

rather than start a new post what are you 6600gt users running your game at, i got it on high, no antitropic, 512 ram, no vsync, no trilinear, still get a little studdering, could that be the ram, i definately know a gig will help?

I have a 6600GT, I run it at 1280X1024, far object clip plane, middle terrain clip plane, everything max, plus I force Antialiasing 2X through the drivers. With the resolution maxed out for my LCD monitor that's all it needs and no jagged lines (well very few). I have a gig of PC3200 ram clocked at PC2700 speeds, the Compaq motherboard clocks my ram down, and clocks my FSB down from 400mhz to 333mhz at northbridge(cheap POS). If you have an Athlon64 you should run awesome with 1gig of ram, since mine runs good with 1gig. I get a little stuttering, plus in cities like anstranaar I get like 20fps in the middle of town. I think it's my CPU+mothernboard+server though not the card. Get an extra 512 and it should help alot.

I only play on laughing skull now since that's where my friends decided to play after i had already started a char with my guild on bloodscalp. dumbasses.

my screenies should look a bit better than zelda 64 hehe. i have the system in my sig, i run at 1600x1200 with all settings maxed, except view distance i have at half of max. 8xAA forced by drivers, 16x AF forced. i run perfectly smooth all the time, other than very minor freeze ups when in auction house and crowded places like that. i was constantly going freeze for 30 seconds, move, repeat when i had view distance maxed, so if you are having bad pausing/framerate issues, that helped me a lot, and i can barely notice the distance as far as stuff showing up closer.

Greatest program ever. It has what's called a quest minion that shows you the level of the quest and allows you to display them on the screen. Best thing since sliced bread for an MMO. Whats even cooler, I can drag that window anywhere on the screen, even minimize it and maximize it whenever I want to see something so it doesnt take up too much room. :)

Also another great thing about cosmos too is, if people keep asking where a certain mob or place is and they have cosmos you can send them a location that will show up on there map.

oh that's one gripe i have about this game, they items are all pretty much the same as far as looks. they need more wild and crazy looking items, at least for blue+. like in d2, they had the djinn slayer sword that was all curved with like, waves in the blade, it looked really cool. and just by looking at anotherplayer you could tell almost exactly what he was wearing. i really wish that it was that way in WoW, not only do i like to bash in skulls with my mace, but i like to do it with diamond trim and a skull on the end of my mace.

Thats what I meant actually, Horde raid the alliance all the time, but we do alot of defending, but alot of people join in regardless of their lvl.

Agreed. At level 11, my dwarf warrior has over 1000. 'course this is because I play my hunter mostly(who is level 30) and I've found some good armor for the 11 warrior.

I played the horde for a week.. The problem is all the great design work went into the alliance area's.. The Horde ocupation seems almost like it had a seperate design team that was always past deadline.

The Horde is like playing EQ Neriak forest 24/7 or Oasis 24/7.. but even then it's all flat.. The Alliance part of WoW is rich and new and has more going on.. Play the Undead and you get a path around a zone.. a path threw silverspine forest and a Blinp ride to a desert that as flat as Star Wars Pod Racer tracks at 0.1 MPH.

You know what funny is that on my server everyone complain and says the horde out number us. But its mostly becuase the horde are always raiding and ganking us and the alliance would rather just hug them.

that's okay, the horde still stronger in a one on one fight. ;) i think blizzard knew that most people would go to alliance. and so they made the horde stronger to compensate, but don't kidd yourself, the horde are also alot harder to level with. (harder quests and etc) :)

The more I play this MMORPG the more I realize I wanted EQ in places.. like an enchanter class.. but the mroe I played the more I realized this is a better MMORPG. I'm not sure this applies to RP servers, but I would assume you could have both factions there as well.

Not so. I needed something that would make grinding less boring. :P. I just skinned and looted everything. Normally, when I grind I just kill and disregard looting and skinning.

Anyways, lvl 20 - 29 in one spot. Duskwood/Darkshire. Run south along the road out of town. As the road turns westward you will come to a clearing with Black Ravagers. Levels 23 - 26 I believe. I just hunted and skinned those for 9 levels. Lots of gold there.

'course this method does not work if you don't skin. :P

All I did was sell everything to vendors.

EDIT: Level 30 - 37: Stranglethorn Vale hunting Lashtail Raptors(35 and 36), Mistvale Gorillas(32 and 33), and various panthers/tigers(lvl 32+). There's a spot on the map after you cross the first bridge in Stranglethorn Vale, where the road makes sort of a boundary. If you follow the road completely you will hit the lake again. Within this boundary are all the mobs I listed.

As far as where I spent the 35g...10g for Ironweaver gun(best gun from lvl 29 - 37. 15g for The Silencer gun(best gun from lvls 37 - 42). The Silencer is the rifle I have pictured. DPS is 22.3. I have a +5 scope on it for 27.3 I will put a +7 sniper scope on it tonight, after I hit lvl 40. 29.3 DPS for the gun...not bad at all.

Love the mage... Great for PVP and also really helpful in groups. We can do rediclous damage with some spell combos ie: arcane power PoM yada yada yada... I play a frost mage which makes me very hard to keep in check.

I'm the same way. Last night I had set out to do some leveling of my blacksmith skill, and somehow I wound up helping a group complete the VanCleef instance! Good times definitely!

You don't need to use fraps however. Pressing the print screen button will make a screenshot. But... you still have to compress it. So i guess there's no point in me saying that.

.tga its a targa image, any photo editing software should be able to open it, and then you can save it as a jpeg or something.

Haha, someone's playing king of the roof! My fav is to stay stealthed up there with my rogue then Sap-lock the next horde who tries to get up. I keep them sapped until they show signs theyre giving up and leaving. That or just use Distract on people running by. It's hilarious to see people freak out when they suddenly turn around.

You have to have 300 in tailoring to even see it on the body of the boss when you kill him.

That's the item. Yeah, I think Blizz just didnt have time to put in all the artwork for some of the epic items, but they need to hurry. I hate having a robe that everyone else on the server can make. I'm one of two people that have the pattern on our server. It's kind of nice, and took me a lot of work to make it. Damn it I demand satisfaction! :p

Yeah, I'm still hoping for Robe of the Archmage to drop :) Although, 10 mooncloth is a bit much...at least they're not soulbound.

Unfortunately, it'll be awhile before my guild touches MC but at least I'm still having fun.

Unfortunately, it'll be awhile before my guild touches MC but at least I'm still having fun.Robes of the Archmage doesnt drop in MC though. It drops in Blackrock. See, the pain in the ass thing about that pattern is is that Essence of Air doesnt drop anywhere since Sithilus has no loot tables. And as for Mooncloth, I had 3 guildmates making it with me. So it didnt take long to get it. I also got a good deal on 20 Felcloth for 14g.

Fair warning: If you are looking foward to endgame content rogues are the least desirable class to play. They really can't contribute anything to the party except for deceint DPS. That and they happen to be the most popular class so... most groups already have their fair share of rogues.

If you're just in the game for killing noobs, by all means, get that rouge to 60 and give the horde hell.

I bought some new armor to make up for me LOSING A ROLL ON AN EPIC ITEM, yes the first epic I've ever looted and I lost the roll, was Kang the Decapitator too, fine axe.
