IBM ThinkPad T23
Windows XP Pro w/ SP2
TRENDnet TEW-226PC

I got a Trendware PCMCIA wireless card for my laptop and installed the driver. At first I was using Windows' built in wireless configurator but I didnt get any singal strength indicator. I know for a fact that im getting full speeds in certain places. A couple days ago I decided to install the software/utility that came with the card but the signal meter still didnt show up (in their own utility). Anyone know how to fix this?

After SP2 you are pretty much stuck with Windows managing wireless (it does a great job...one of the few good things about SP2)...

You can double click on that icon if you really want to see the meter...

Spack - I can tell windows to controll my wireless or not through one of the options.

abudhu - I know the meter is there but it doesnt change at all. It stays gray all the time.
