Does anyone know of a program that monitors all access to a drive? Some program accesses my hard disk volume every 3-4 seconds for a blip. I would like to find out what it is so that I can exterminate it, so I need a monitor of some sort. Windows XP PRO's process list does have an i/o monitor, but I see nothing suspicious there. I need a program that also shows hidden programs. Any suggestions? I get nothing from an Adaware or Spybot scan. I have noticed a very slight increase in loading times for things like Photoshop CS and UT 2004 for example. Hardware is in sig.
Thanx

sysinternals has several programs.

is probably the most topical one. It produces a LOT of output. Most of it will not be of interest, it will probably turn out that whatever is going on is normal.

Great Link! The program is exactly what I needed to curb my paranoia. I got to kill a HP Printer driver that was calling up tons of items like my video capture card for no apparent reason. Terminated program, repaired registry, and problem solved. Thanks alot!
