"Snap in creation failed."

I have an Asus W1n notebook running XP Pro...clicked on device manager and that came up.
Any ideas?

Check your environment variables (System | Advanced) and make sure you have the following:

%SystemRoot%
%SystemRoot%\system32
%SystemRoot%\system32\WBEM

edit/ duh, meant to say make sure those are listed in SYSTEM VARIABLES | PATH

[Order]

I added them and shall check it out now :)
