Programs, movies, music, and many backups. I'm a back-up freak, and I'm always afraid of drive failure, so I pretty much have a hard drive each for movies, music, and system/programs, and then a hard drive for each as back-up, as well as another drive to back-up my other two systems. Am I using all the space on any of those? No, but I do have the peace of mind that all my hard won data is safe? Sure. Am I slightly insane? Yes. Is this all just a lie to cover for my huge pr0n collection? Hell yeah. ;)

I use my 1.4TB to store about 300GB of porn (mostly for bragging rights), copies of programs and operating systems and then DVD rips of most any movie I can get my hands on.

I use it for music (ripped to wav from vinyl) and videos I rip from my replaytv box or other replay boxes.

OK I guess a list of things you shouldnt confess too is in order
you buy a DVD of a season worth of TV shows, you can back it up
download the same TV shows or even grab em off the air, you dont hold a license
buy a DVD of your favorite movie, you can back it up
rent the same movie, and again you again dont hold a license
obviously refrain from term like warez, bootleg ect
thank you the management

I only hold 320GB of space so far but its near full already
its filled with backups of games I have, movies I have backed up, ghosts of my main systems, game patch files, etc etc.
I buy something first thing I do is make an image to my hard drive to have an online backup then a CDR of it, then I store the original on a spindle. use the online image where applicable (like alcohol120 etc) and when not (like ghost for example and yes I did buy it like all my other stuff, would you like to see the reciept? ) I use the CDR disc, when and if it gets messed up I burn from the image. hard drive failure? I restore / reimage from the original. CDR goes bad? original. ive only had one failure, ut2k3 CD1, the media (label) side got scratched somehow, I never figured a way out to copy that disc, and it got ruined *cry* but I finally got another copy of it. yes I DID BUY IT want to see the reciept and a pic of the discs and manual?
anyways... that, after a while, takes a lot of CDR/DVDR and HD space. it all adds up.

well after education and troubleshooting, bragging (http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=851144) is what makes tech forums run :p
just think where would the world be without one-up-manship, competition and greed?

again, lets not practise self-incrimination regarding copyrighted material you dont have a license for
once again, TV Shows that you backup from media you own
give a little thought to your phrasing, if its ambigious,
then the benefit of the doubt will be given
pay per views aint on media
I dont want to have to lock this, but I will at the next such confession
the terabyte club aint what it used to be
back when, you browned out the local grid spinning up the array :p
guess we'll need to start an exabyte club :D

Maybe it should become the 10T club....that way people can still keep their ego filled.
10T wouldn't cost "that" much. 4 7 Drive Raid fives on 400GB drives in Raid5 would only run yah probally around 15k to setup.

Enough porn to solve the worlds problems and give us world peace.
Most of mine space is dvds and movies that I then can stream to xboxs around the house. Use it to offload stuff from my replay tvs also.

My computer is filled with lots and lots of animal porn and cartoon porn. Joking) I have a bunch of backups of my dvds, games, music cds, and programs. I used to have a total of 800 gigs and then one of my hds failed so I was at 600, then another failed. Bad luck I guess. Now I have approx 400 gigs

Right now I only have about 800 gigs between all of my systems.
I'm working on making a new filer server with 4 x (250, 300, or 400 gig drives). Should be sweet!!

I myself have a total of 6 TB of disk storage atm
It will soon be 8 when we replace the hardrives in one of the machines with 400 gb sata drives.
Fact is i highly doubt any of you can even come close to the storage capacity i have at my disposal. I am truely HARD.
when WE replace...
who's we? ;)
Don't tell me you're bragging about hardware you don't own... :o :p
