Yes noob.. I want to run a 10 gig for my xp with all my progs on it..But for videos,music and so on i want to put on my 80 gig.. What I am asking is would i just plug the 80 gig in with the 10 and it would show up? what would I have to do.. Thanks for the help :confused: :p

Depending on which channel (i assume you have pata drives and not Sata) you plug it in and what devices you already have, you might have to jumper your old and new harddrive accordingly as Master/Slave or Master/Master (when on different channels).
Then, windows should pickup the new device and all you gotta do is format it.

Check the back of the drives where the jumpers are.
The 10 Gig one needs to be set as Master. Some drives will be needed to be set to Master with Slave if it has that setting.
The 80 Gig one will be needed to be set to Slave.
The the 10 Gig one goes on the end of the IDE cable and the 80 Gig one in the middle.
Plug the power molex's in.
Check in the bios both drives are detected correctly and you're boot order is correct.
