cant restore

Just a couple of days when I rebooted my computer I got on a black screen saying " No Operating System found" .. So I tried to reboot again and got the same message. I know someone used my computer before than . Did they download a virus?

Then I tried to restore it.. using my Factory restore disc that game with my pc. Then That seem to work fine until It begun to restore and got an error saying "cant find ?.txt" I put the ? because Im not sure what it said .. I think ghosterr.txt or something. But the restore is norton ghost something.

How can I fix my pc? Whats the problem..

I would 1st go in BIOS, and make sure it points to correct HDD for boot....Just in case this was changed...


Try fixing the Master Boot Record 1st.

Replace Master Boot Record

From the A Prompt type the following "FDISK /MBR", Once complete reboot system without floppy disk inserted. If you get access to the drive then the master boot record was corrupt.
