I downloaded and installed this free download.com program called "Acoustica MP3 to WAV Converter PLUS" and I did what I needed to do with it. I uninstall and and realize that it left this stupid extra menu option when I right click a folder.
Here's a picture of what it looks like and the undeletable file that was left in the program folder. I created a test folder so you can see what I'm talking about. Neither of the choices I'm given work (nothing happens).

I tried checking the startup process (though I was pretty sure I wouldn't find anything). I've tried starting up in safe mode and deleting it. I've never had much experience with problems like this so I'm really sure what to do. It's not that important, but little things like this bug me.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think the registry settings are stored in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\cmd Take a look if its there if tweakui doesnt remove it.

powerade, unfortunatly neither of those worked. I unchecked it in Tweak UI. Nope. Deleted it. Nothing. I ended explorer.exe, started it up again, then tried to delete it. No go.
totmachen, that also didn't work. it seems like the entry for that menu would be there but I searched the most likely places in that directory folder and it didnt work.

Okay, I have some more info for you. Here are some offending registry keys:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{DC6FA7E0-6666-11D5-8CE2-444553540000}
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MP3TOWAVE.FILE
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\MP3ToWa ve
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\M2WShlExMenu
Here is a complete list of registry keys that the application installs:
http://www.1999gt.com/downloads/Acoustica.txt
It's a reg file, but I renamed to a .TXT in case someone decided to double-click it.
On EDIT: After you clear the 4 listed above, you should be able to restart and delete the file.

Thanks a bunch j0k3r. I deleted the reg keys, restarted, deleted the DLL, and now everythings back to normal. :)
