View Full Version : Cyberhome DX162D-A wont read some DVD-roms

ok just picked this thing up and it wont read some of my DVD movies real ones not copys
none of the DVDs are scrached and i even tryed updateing the firmware and that hasnt helped >.< other then that it works fine just donesnt like some of my DVDs others i have to open and close the drive 2 or 3 times to get it to read >.< i searched on google and its got good reviews no one else seems to have this prob could the drive just be bad?

My experience over the past few years with DVD-ROMs is, if the brand name makes you shrug....it's time to get a real one. Most no-name, cheap-ass DVD-ROMs have trouble reading random discs.....that's why no one uses them in their computer for more than a week or so. LiteOns are so cheap (pricewise)...get one of them.

On a side note, any computer product with the word "cyber" in it, is definitely crap.

heh yea thats what i was thinking >.< oh well i can just pull my CD-RW and put back my creative DVD-rom the DVD-RW works fine other then it not likeing some DVD movies soo ill do that till i can get a nec from newegg
