Hard drive found but hard drive is found

i have a dell dim. 8400. It has been working fine but I opened it up to see the video card and now it can't detect the hard drive. At first it said that there was a corrupt file but now it just says hard drive cannot be detected. When I go to setup it knows how much GB the HD has though. So it must be able to detect it. I already tried replugging all the cords. I cannot get a hold of dell support and no one here sells dell products. I need help.

I'd still bet on the cable ,, the current Sata connections suck. try again , try a different cable,, also depending on what power suply the use,, some use a molex to sata adapter ..it might be loose there also
