I wasn't sure if this woudl be better off posted here or the HDD forum, so I am gunna give it a shot here. I figured most of the people in here are the ones actually using what I will need, so here goes....
I got a 160GB SATA drives off the forums about two weeks, ago, and did just about the stupid thing imaginable. To appease my anti-wire fetish, I wrapped the cable under the drive and around my drive bay so I woudlnty see it. W hen I plugged it in, I head a cracking noise, The plastic that protects the the little pins on the drives SATA connector broke. With it stuck in teh cable, I coudl still get it to plug in and work fine, but the cable woudl constantly come loose since it wasnt locking in. So, I managed to get the plastic piece out of the cable, but what shoudl I use to rettach it to the drive. I tried hot glue, and it holds until I unplug the drive. It snaps to tight, and rips it right back out. Anyone know of a good strong glue I could use? Something that woudl hold with a VERY little ammount. I cannot coat this in glue, I still need to get the connector on. If anyone knows of a particular glue thats not rediculosly expensive and holds like cement, let me know. I want to get this drive working again.
