Hi! I just purchased Muskin basic pc3200 ddr memory. Windows wouldn't boot, it gave me a bsod every time I tried to boot. I ran memtest86 and I had 276,000+ errors and 2 passes. I assume my ram is bad, and I have to RMA it, right. Thanks!

Sorry for my impatience, but I would really like to know what is wrong with my memory and if I need to RMA it. I am running it at 2.5-4-4-8. Thanks!

From what you stated its obvious your ram has issues.
Just get another ram sticks and check your warranty on them. Prob get new sticks
If you read the documentation on memtest, large amounts of errors can also be caused by a malfunctioning motherboard. It mentions to be wary about that when you notice tons of errors.

I can pop in my old stick of ram and it boots into windows fine. With my new stick in the same slot where my old stick was, windows gives me options on how to boot(ex. Safe Mode, Same Mode with Networking, etc.) Then, if I try any option, the screen goes black and my computer restarts itself.
Sounds like its the ram then :P
