I just used Ghostcast to make 10 identical laptops by making an image of one of the laptops the way I want it set up. Ghosting went well and I was able to join all the machines to the domain.

Then I started noticing that whatever I changed the Computer name to - it kept reverting back to the computer name of the original PC I made the ghost image from.

This is so strange, and I have to rename these other PCs. Anyone have any idea whats going on and how I can fix it.

Aha, that looks like the problem. Now, how do I change this now that Windows is up and going on each machine?

Sysprep.exe

Look online or at the many threads discussing how to use sysprep.

Sysprep is the proper way to do this.
