System:
AXP-M 2400+ 35w typically ran at 12x200 at 1.65v
ASUS A7N8X Delux 2.0 with stock BIOS
2x256MB HyperX PC3500 @ 200MHz
ATi Radeon 9800 SE 256b 128MB (Using newest Omega)
2 Hard Drives
2 Optical Drives
Antec 350w PSU

Software Installed: XP Pro SP2, Office XP, Norton Internet Security 2003, Alcohol 120%, Nero 6 Enterprise, CloneCD. All latest drivers are installed for nForce2 chipset, latest Omega driver.

Problem: MSIE crashes after very little, or a lot of usage. At first I thought my Windows install was getting old so I formatted clean, installed SP2, installed chipset drivers, installed programs and began to use my computer. MSIE still crashes on "winet.dll" I don't know if this is a software problem caused by an update from Microsoft, or what. I am experiencing NO system instability period. 3D apps run perfect, the computer never crashes. MSIE just "disappears" or the error window pops up.

I'm at a loss as to what to do, as it doesn't seem to be an overclock/hardware malfunction. Only happens with MSIE.

Can anyone PLEASE help?

From a Google search of the dll, you appear to be having an Active X control issue.
Check your security settings in IE and in Norton Internet Security and turn down the ActiveX controls slightly. You may also want to do a fresh install and only install the absolute bare minimum apps you need and install one program at a time until either you don't get the error OR you start having MSIE crash.
Another option is to switch to Maxthon (Do a Google search). It functions a lot like IE but is a bit more stable and doesn't have as many security holes.

Damn. I feel like I shouldn't have to switch browsers. This computer is only used for web surfing for my girlfriend and 3D games for me.

It's just REALLY strange that it's only MSIE crashing. The system is stable. I just played Doom 3 for a few minutes.
