For some reason my two DC's are not replicating.... my netlogon folder is not being replicated.... I have to manually change the scripts in both places.... I'm getting eroor 13508 saying that
The File Replication Service is having trouble enabling replication from SERVER1 to SERVER2 for c:\winnt\sysvol\domain using the DNS name server1.DOMAIN.local. FRS will keep retrying.
Following are some of the reasons you would see this warning.
[1] FRS can not correctly resolve the DNS name server1.DOMAIN.local from this computer.
[2] FRS is not running on server1.DOMAIN.local.
[3] The topology information in the Active Directory for this replica has not yet replicated to all the Domain Controllers.
This event log message will appear once per connection, After the problem is fixed you will see another event log message indicating that the connection has been established.

in what way??
I jsut checked and a new machine I added yesterday, and got it's addy yesterday from my DHCP server is already registered in my DNS, if that is what you mean.
I can also ping from any computer TO any computer using the computer name and not the addy if that is what you mean.....

You need to check all the site settings, all the subfolders in dns. You can also try running IPCONFIG /REGISTERDNS
PS: Dont run DC's on DHCP...thats a really, really bad idea

Are you running AV software on your DCs? I had a similar problem that began after installing Symantec AV on my DCs.
This solved it for me:

I am running AV yes.... but I have always been.... maybe I will check this out....
But the WACKY thing is... AD is replicating like a trooper... I created a new user and within 2 minutes it was replicated.... I changed a few passwords, and almost INSTANT it replicated.... it's just my netlogon folder

Make sure the time on both servers is the same, i had this same problem and it drove me nuts until i realized the time was different.

Since this looks to be an OS centric issue, I'll move it to the OS forum.
