So I am working on a customer computer. Here are the specs:
HP Pavilion XE783
Windows ME
Really there is nothing wrong with the functionality of the computer. But whenever I click on anything, whether it be My computer, Recycle Bin, IE, I get a plain jane gray box that says Error in the header then Explorer! and has an Ok button. Nothing else, no reasoning behind the error or anything. Here is a list of things I have tried:
-Scanned with upated Adaware, Spybot
-Scanned with TrendMicro Housecall and updated Norton: Clean
-Re-installed Internet Explorer 6 SP1
-Re-installed Windows ME
-Dumped all the Temps, including Restore temp
And I have ran out of ideas. I searched google but due to the lack of information the error gives, I didnt find anything. Does anybody have any ideas at all? Thanks in advance!
[Edit]
Sorry, forgot to mention. After I click the Ok button in the error it disapears and My computer or IE or whatever I clicked on comes up as normal. Its like this error does nothing to the functionality of the computer, it just annoys the user. Very weird.
