Just purchased a new computer, and the default account name is "Valued Customer"...first thing I did was change this to my name and all that...and this changed the name of my user folder which is shown at the top level of the folder hierarchy...but this is just a pseudoname, and name of the folder under the C: is still "Valued Customer" and I can't change the name because it's a "system folder". Whenever I log on, instead of using my new name, it still always says "Valued Customer." This is incredibly annoying...how can I fix it without losing all the software I have already installed on it?

create a new user account with the name you want. Copy the profile if you desire.

yeah, just create a new account, make sure you give yourself admin rights.

make a new user as ad admin, copy your profile, then delete the other account.
