Hey guys duno if this is beating a dead horse..but I bought a dell dimension 8200
.sblive 5.1 digital (dr release I beleive) and I remember back when i bought the retail sblive (original) I had all these cool programs to like..change ur voice thru the mic..to low and high I beleive it was thru the eax stuff...but with this dell sblive card..all I have for programs is diagnostics....Ive tried downloading the newest control center+drivers from sbs site..but it says I dont have any sblive card installed in my system...even tho the WDM drivers installed confirm its a sblive device...currently im downloading dell drivers from creatives website to see if it will help.I got a link off another forum..honestly..all im looking to do..is be able to use the effects..so I can change my voice over the mic...with the eax effects chip...but its turning into a shot in the dark...cuz now IM finding out..dell sends out bogus oem cards...that arnt like the retail..and the retail drivers wont install..but IM sure the card has the EAX chip on it..looks exactly like my old sblive..and this is supposed to be a 5.1 digital. shrug. any help? ill try these drivers..but honestly..I know there is software out to change ur voice or whatever..but i'd like to be able to use EAX in games n stuff to...and change my voice. let me know. thx.
