I'm not using raid. Just two sata drives. Right now I just installed windows XP SP2 on the via raid controller. I noticed in the device manager. That it shows
HDS72251 6VLSA80 SCSI Disk Device
for both sata drives.
This driver is dated 7/1/2001
Should I have used the promise controller instead?
In the bios it dont even see the two harddisks, yet they get seen by windows XP.
So which is the best controller to use when just using two sata drives not in raid
configuration.
