im gettin my new system soon ( actually should be here tomorrow)..anyways, i got a seagate barracuda laying around, and was wondering, if i can use this, and a regular western digital in the same comp...would it be ok, or would the seagate, cause problems? the seagate is SATA rite?

would i lose performance using 2 different types of drives?

Should not cause any preformance hits.
I run a segate 120 and a WD 80 in this system

You shouldn't have any problems regardless. I currently have a WD Raptor SATA drive and a Seagate Barracude 120 GB SATA drive in my system.

I use a 160 GB Western Digital and 120 GB Seagate together in my comp, no problems whatsoever.

Dunno if either of your drives are sata, check the connection interface. If you have to use a wide connector, it's PATA. If it's connector is the small, 6-pin type, it's a SATA drive.
