Maxtor Atlas 10k V

Storage Review just release a review of the new Maxtor Atlas 10k V. Really nice performance, worthy of the name for sure. Can't wait for these to come down in price a little. Any thoughts on the latest drive from Maxtor?

I was expecting an evolutionary increase in performance, but the jump was higher than I expected. It really gives the WD740GD some strong competition, basically tying overall. I guess the jury is still out with regards to cost effectiveness, though.

The "older" Atlas 10k IV goes for around $20 more than the Raptor 74gb model drive so I'm hoping this new drive works it way to that same price range. Seeing this makes me excited about the new Maxtor 15k II.
