90 bucks for an Apex 27" TV? I am intrigued.... I wonder where I could put another one of those. :D I got a 27" Apex flatscreen for christmas 2 years ago and I've been pretty happy with it, except for only having one s-video input and no composite inputs...

And hell, that eMachine laptop deal doesn't look bad at all either...

You are correct. Kyle said we will go with the Black Friday specials until specifically asked to take down that particuliar store's ads, so each advertised store ad will be posted until each individual store requests that we stop :)

ooohhh..... cheap variable speed reciprocating saw....not a bad price on a table saw either.... kinda scary though...I could just see some random generic saw blade flying apart and cutting my arm off..... :-) BUT it could be worth it.

don't remember that one..... the best ones to get are the instant savings deals... that way there are no 1 per household rebates to deal with. too bad most savings are through rebates these days. oh well, still save $$ as long as you follow up with the rebate company.

Typically black friday is a day where most of the good deals lack a mail in rebate. Unless your talking about computers but everything else is usually good. I went at 6 am last year and boy was i late. I went in tried to grab what i needed (some lady in front of me got the last sd 256mb card) But i got a 256mb compact flash for my camera (i got the 256mb sd online at bestbuy.com for 40 bucks which was the black friday deal) a couple movies then waited 2 hours in line to check out. The line was at the back of the store at 6am it was pathetic and you should of seen the amount of people i seen with 6 dvd players in there cart or 3 surround sound speaker systems. But i went through the line and checked out and went straight to compusa (this was before i knew i could buy the card online and get it at bestbuy.com) cause they also had the sd card for about the same amount. I went saw they had nothing but keeped looking I was just about to ask the guy behind the counter if he had any when this big fat dude came up and asked about it the clerk said yeah he has 1 and pulls it out from nowhere. the fat guy then asks if he has another the dumb clerk says it's the last one though and we would like to save it for someone else of course the fat guy wanted it and got it i bet he is taking pix of lots of little kids right now so next time compusa employees when you sell a fat retard flash memory think what he might be doing with it.

haha
Compusa keeps a lot of their black friday deals behind the counter up front. They do this if it is a high $$/high theft item that would normally be locked up to save the managers from having to go unlock something every 2 seconds because of the deal. Best bet is to walk directly up to the counter and ask for small high $$/high theft items like mem cards, ram, video cards etc.

I want a x700 or x800 or GeForce 6600 or 6800 to be on sale

When the GeForce4 Ti4200 first came out, it was on sale for 100 bucks on black friday. It was great

I got there at 2am for Best Buy and was #1 in line and got everything I needed :-D
Its great when the rest of people come and laugh when you tell em what time you got there. Of course living up north in NJ doesnt help...damn cold outside! I am living in Florida now and planned on chilling at the store early and not being cold, but my parents want me home so off I go into the coldness!

Here is a GREAT black friday site that has message boards and stuff all for BF.

LOL.... Compusa can't decide if they want their high $$ upgrades locked up or out in public...on one hand they get them stolen all the time from customers and on the other they get them stolen from employees..... lol....

I do agree though.... ALWAYS pre-shop the deals in whatever store you will be visiting on black Friday...that way you always have the best run and grab heading.

Maybe ill go to frys around 2 am-.. the only thing im scared of is what if i fall asleep, people throw me into a trashcan, or some guys beat me up since im the only one there XD. Another thing.. being first where exactly do you start the line, some other guy could start another one or something LOL. My friends and I may bring camping tents, a mini cooker for like ramen and stuff.. its gonna be a fun day clubbing people out of the way :/

For Best Buy, just stand next to the wall where the doors are. My BB is at a corner, so the line starts at the door and then goes out to the corner then along side the wall.

Yeah, I got a little scared when a car or 2 drove by at like 2am. But then I flexed my big guns and they ran away...just kidding. Usually its safe. Have a cellphone with you and pretend you are talking to people, I never fell asleep cause I am up north where its freezing and its too cold to be asleep. Generally I just stood around kicking stones and listening to music until people showed up. Then chit-chat a lil bit and what-not. Share food or drinks, take a stone and write your name on the outside wall or on the ground so people can remember your name for being #1. Bring soda or anything cafeinnate to keep you awake and lots of junkfood. Bring a lil folding chair if you want so you can put it in your backpack when its running time.

Maybe you will get lucky and someone will pay you 20 bucks to get next to you :D

Well considering there are no and never will be any PCI-X video cards, you will have to get a normal PCI video card and run it in a PCI-X slot.. that will work you know.

If you mean PCI-E well that is a totally different matter, and those will be a good thing.

For reliablity: WD is better than Maxtor, not as good as Seagate and all of them are better than hitachi/ibm.

For speed, WD and Maxtor are very close followed by Seagate and I don't know with IBM.

I like WD drives, I have 6 of them in current use at home, and hundreds of them at work and have no problems with them. (lots of older WD drives at work not in use that would work fine if I had a need for a 8GB or so drive)

on the other hand every Maxtor and IBM I have owned at home has eventually died, and I have RMAed many Maxtors at work. (only IBM's at work are laptop drives, and those are decent)

Some Arabian dudes try that in my Fry's, they'd better bring some RPGs, or they're getting the smackdown.Hey, PC Police, the guys were reported to be Arabian. So my referencing the Arabians is keeping it real.

Tip-toeing around the fact that they were Arabian is keeping it false..Can you believe this guy? The reference to RPG's... Sounds like you really hate arabians. Or maybe you werent just classifying these guys as terrorists (the rpg comment makes it clear you were) just because they were arabs. Listen buddy, we dont want any of that here. Why dont you try being growing up a bit. Instead of calling names and slapping on one of those cute eye rolling green faces, try finding out why your racism is inappropriate and maybe, just maybe, learn that even if you think its ok, some things you say can really hurt other people.

Is this the Apex TV?

CC link to TV:

Steve you tard, a pic and a link directly to Circuit City IS NOT STEALING BANDWIDTH, it is free advertizing and I am sure that CC would be more than happy to get the hits to its Web site.

Jesus H, you'd think for all the money you've spent on lawyers you might have gleaned something. Do you just make this shit up? Might want to consult a lawyer about IP law and deep linking before you make such statements, not to mention DEFAMATION law (I didn't "steal" anything.)
Yes, and I have personally spent money on lawyers in the past for hotlinking images. It is not allowed, read the rules. If you have an issue with our rules, you can take that up with me peronsally via PM.

This right here is the bomb....

OfficeMax Western Digital 200GB Hard-Drive - $49.99
OfficeMax Digital Max 16X DVD Dual-Layer/Dual-Format Burner - $39.99

Is there a limit to how many you can get? I was gonna snag like two of the HD's

Oh yea, what time does Officemax open and what are the lines usually like?

I've never been to a officemax/officedepot type of store on bf. You would think that those places get overlooked even if they have good deals. There's more to get at a BB or fry's where they have comp. stuff, tv's,games and such, but who knows.

if its after rebates i dont want it but if its just 49.99 without rebates then i will buy them, great thing is if i goto the office max in new orleans noone goes their, mostly african ameraicn neighborhood. i went there last year and got there 30 mins after open and there was like 5 ppl in the store, so if they let me buy more than 1 im getting more

With the 200 GB WD drive at OfficeMax and the 6800 at Compusa, I'm gonna have to send a friend to get one of them. Has anyone heard of any deals for a 6800 for $200 anywhere besides compusa? (only 1 in state)

I'm thinking this may be a great christmas gift for my brother. He's still in school and wouldn't need it for much. Hrm...

after religously checking the normal gottadeal.com blackfriday site, i found another site which has all the same stuff listed (i think) but it organizes it a bit better (for my liking at least) so here it is:

http://bf2004.net/

its quite a bit more full featured than the other site, and they have like full page scans of the ad already. they also post whats been updated, which is nice.

With some luck, I might make it to Officemax, since I will be at my GF's in the middle of freaking nowhereland, PA. nearest CompUSSR is ~50 miles away. The Officemax is still a good 30 miles to drive :/

woop BB is 'just' 27.xx miles away /rant

wish I could get some of them 49.99 WD drives!

Is this site a reliable source? I'm intertested in something there. Do all these prices become effective on black friday?

yeah its all pretty much the same stuff that you would see at any site on the net with BF deals. they usually have someone 'inside' that gets a copy of the ad for them. whatever proof you need, they have an actual scan of most of the ads on their site.

anyways, most of the sites have been pretty good in the past. you can find out how good they are in a couple days too.

and yes they are mostly black friday deals, though sometimes the deals carry over into the weekend a bit.
