How far am I along in Doom 3?

Ok, playing off and on for some time now and wondering if things will progress. Kind of just same old thing for some time now. Story does not seem to be going any where.

I just walked into some room :p where this guys is all strung up above teh roof with guts all spread open and yells, then these double headed creatures make a intro to the came.

All the emails lately indicate a buddy system was set and it looks like the double headed creatures are the result of that.

Does anything unfold soon? Something cool? Every room and map looks the same and it is just getting a bit redundant.

your about 1/4 through the game as far as I can remember.... Some "exciting" things will start to happen soon..... I am not going to spoil it though :D

Thats funny. I just played that exact same room last night and stopped there. Its in "Alpha Labs 1" Those creatures are called "maggots". (I am using the strategy guide)
I can still only play this game about 20-30 minutes at a time before I have to shut it off.

That about sums it up, you will continuely see the same looking coridors covered in blood and monstors will still jump at you from behind closed "hidden" walls. But as far as story goes, not much more to it. I was actualy quite disapointed in the story of the game, and could not find myslef getting into it. Fun game, but once you have played 30 min of it, it becomes very repetitious. This is just my opinion, and I know some of you loved the game. just respect my opinion and dont flame this post like childish !!!!!!s.

I am beating the game again because I love it. I especially love it when a monster jumps out of nowhere to scare you. It is so dark and scary. A friend and I agree that it is very sick and twisted. It seriously gave me nightmares after playing one night and I am a 32yr old big bad tattoo having guy from the big city. I am not going to ruin anything for you guys. Wait until you get into hell. The weapons as you progress get cooler and stronger. Also there are some wicked foes eventually that are a real test of skill.

after that, there is a locker with some weapons in it. you have to use these to kill monsters. then the lights go out and you have to use the flashlight. you will find a pda with codes to a locker, then monsters will jump out and the lights will go out. then you have to use the flashlight, go down the hall and find the locker with the weapons in it. once you find those, you can kill the monsters in the next hall. watch out for the monsters though.

i was at just that part when i decided that i was sick of that part and didnt feel like playing that part 1000 more times before i beat the game :p

Really? We must not have played the same game. Mine went like this...

Crap, what's next... DIEDIEDIE... k, take a sec to reloadCRAP missed one, k, reload, walk to next area, check behind me, take a couple more steps, check behind me again, can't see shit, take a couple more steps, check behind me again, door ahead of me snaps open and demon spawns in front of me, run like hell to get a better vantage point to fight back...

If you were terrified the whole frickin' time, like I was, you probably had a blast. Not much immediate replay value, since next time through you'll know where every monster closet is, but an absolute blast the first time through.

If you weren't terrified, then no fault of your own, but you missed out on something cool.
