I have a second hard drive with ntfs on it and I am trying to delete a folder but it says access denied. I took this hd out of another winxp system and just put it in my computer. Alot of the folders wont let me delete them because of this "access denied" thing.

Any way around it without formating?

I have had this problem with a file once too. The only way to get rid of it is to delete in the MSDOS prompt. I do not know the command you have to use to get rid of it tho. Maybe one of the others can tell you.

Right clicked on the drive and went to security and that worked. Thank you.
