Question about "msconfig"

If I uncheck all the items in the startup tab, will that hurt anything on my computer? I know the ones I need, but should I know about something before I uncheck others? I remember looking there right after i did a fresh install of XP pro, and there was nothing there. I just want to know if I can screw things up... thanks...

You can usualy uncheck all of the boxes under the "startup" tab and have no problem, except; your printer might not work, or your sound, or your firewall, or your cd burner software, or your mouse might not work right, or any number of other things might not work right. Until you recheck the boxes. Or every thing will work fine. Computer will still boot and all though. So you can always recheck the boxes and put it back the way it was.
