I'm looking for a diagram or pin specs so I can identify what pin on the ATA100 interface is the one that is 'cut'. My boss is testing me so I need to be able to just look at an IDE connector and know right away the correct orientation and pin alignment. :rolleyes:

newer ide connectors only go on one way now anyway, just aim the little tiny plastic bump/tab up and you're good.

Most ribbon cables have a red wire designating pin 1. If I recall correctly pin 1, is in the top-left corner of the ZIF socket.

just remember hte red line should almost always go next to the power connector
