What was is issue, and what was the fix? Share so that we can all learn what the issue was and what was the fix so that when we are troubleshooting, and pop it in the search (Symptoms) your fix might come up.

I had the same issue. After SP2 all my networking went nowhere. The issue was my anitvirus software which uses the LSP method for internet filtering (directly inserting itself into the networking stack...it's a method supported by Microsoft) that had not yet been updated for SP2.

It is now,

Also, many people are having to run the network config utility to regain wireless access.

Yes, please share the problem/resolution so you can hopefully help others. :)

I'm on wireless. Hubby ran SP2 on his box, ran into a few issues. I've been too timid to install it on mine yet because of potential wireless probs he wouldn't even have.

...I've been too timid to install it on mine yet because of potential wireless probs he wouldn't even have.I'm just waiting to hear that you've installed SledgehammerPack 2 and gone back to your Mac....

anyway, I'll point out that this probably isn't the norm... My wireless connection didn't even hiccup after SP2.

Ha, ha! But, no. I realized when I shut down the Mac for the last time that there was no going back, only moving onward. :)

Is it NAV 2004? I am running it with SP2 and am having problems with the auto-protect and I get disconnected sometimes...

No, I use NOD32 (which I recommend with everything I got...best AV program I have ever seen).
