In windows 2000 server, or in XP pro, is there any way to compress html data? Heres my scenario:
One main computer/server connected to the internet, used as an internet router/cache with an 11mb/s access point, and an 18gb 10,000rpm scsi hard drive for storage.
(3) clients connected to server via 802.11b WiFi at anywhere between 1-11mbs per second.
If you know about using laptops very far indoors, the automatic fallback feature will slow it down so it can get more distance. Although, that would still be 125KB/s total, i need to free up as much bandwidth as possible (especially when there are more than a few client connections copying larger files)
Im using apache, and .GZ-ing the cache, but it isnt enough.
