Alot of programs require it to install programs AND games these days. :(

And I avoid programs that requre .NET. I dred the day MS forces it on us.

If you have .NET Framework 1.0 installed, you want to upgrade to .NET Framework 1.1

As a programmer, I use the .NET Framework all of the time, but it's not (yet) necessary for everyone to have.
