View Full Version : i lost my IE desktop icon...
I was messing around w/programs to make my desktop differnet (stylexp and some toolbar thing) and in the process i lost the IE icon, and now i have a crappy shortcut to it.
How can i get back the IE icon ?
its checked in desktop icons under customize desktop..i dunno what else to do

use another browser mate.
Seriously IE is so outdated.
MyIE2 (now called MAXTHON) or Netcaptor is what I would suggest

right-click on the desktop, go Properties > Deskptop > Customize Desktop > General
then just check the Interner Explorer box.
It is checked...didn't i say that in my orignal post.. :rolleyes:

What makes a "crappy shortcut"? If it launches IE then what's the issue?

Alternatively, TweakUI under Desktop has it.
Probably Xteq does as well, but I didn't bother to look it up.

Did you try un-checking, log off, log back on, and then re-checking?
If it isn't that, go make sure it hasn't been removed via Add/Remove Windows Components.
