What does this mean???
YOU ARE ALLOWED TO POST THEM IF ACCOMPANIED WITH A ISP/EDU ADDRESS
So I can post my primary/secondary address (hotmail and backup yahoo) if I include my ISP/EDU address??? What's that??? An IP address or something??? THANX
C'YA

It means, you can use your hotmail address as long as you include the email address your ISP or school gives you.

Example:

example@hotmail.com (is ok, as long as you also include)
example@swbell.net

Free email accounts like hotmail/yahoo/ and even gmail when it comes out are disposable email addresses. Too many people set up one, scam with it, and toss it.

The problem with that is that I won't use it...it's not my primary address...I already have one...and even a secondary one...also 2 spam ones which I rarely look at...adding another one would be pointless...not practical for me...:(

And anyways...the ISP uses pop3 and since I use Outlook Express I can't seperate that email with my primary email and I'd want to do that cause I rarely get spam...RR is spam central with my dads account...he uses RR...I don't want spam to get mixed in with my good, non-spammed HotPop account...:(

It's not so much about you using it, I think it's more of a way of tracking you down. I guess if they can't reach you through conventional methods, they can always contact your ISP or school.

Yes you can, it's called a message rule. You can move all e-mail received in from an account to a folder automatically.

Get another email client like eudora or netscape, and pop the isp email account in there.

so it's just used to "track me down" eh??? So I can post my HotPop email but also my school email (school just gave us all email accounts) and say NOT to email me at my school email cause I won't respond and to use my primary HotPop email instead???

That ought to be fine, but if it's not, mods please clear this up for us. Having a school or ISP email just reduces the risk of you being a troll. After all, how easy is it to sign up for Hotmail and scam somebody?

Goodness, it doesn't matter what it's called as long as it's from a free email provider. :D

he wasn't saying you use hotmail, he was just referring to how easy it is to create a hotmail account for one deal and then troll someone.

Smart traders will want a email from your school email address to confirm that it is yours

If replying from a non free email account is too much work for you when it comes to using the FS/FT forum then its ok for me to think shipping on time, providing updates or answering questions about what you have FS is too much trouble for you either?

It's really simple: if you don't like the rules, don't trade here. Most forums have similar rules, so [H]|Forums aren't the only ones doing it.

It's for protection. I want a means to get ahold of someone if they try to screw me over. Most people don't, but it's just the handful of screwballs that want to rip others off.
