Fixing Windows Boot
put the cd in
go to repair and then recovery console
logon
type
fixmbr
and
fixboot
or you could manually edit the boot.ini
msconfig allows easy editing of the boot.ini, and I would recommend it to someone unfamiliar with the boot.ini

start>run>msconfig
msconfig also allows you to control what starts along with windows, and is the best tool available for removing excess processes at boot time.

love msconfig :) a lot easier then messing with the registry to get rid of all that pesky shit.

this is what mine looks like, what should i do now?
If you formatted over the old XP, just press "Check all boot paths". Otherwise, we'll have to determine which is the one you want to keep and which one can go.
