intel win xp pro install

Ive heard somewhere to install windows xp on a p4 system with hyperthreading u should disable it before installing windows. Is this true? Should I have it enabeld or disabled?

I have never disabled HT on my systems when installing XP. Just install XP, then install the Intel INF Drivers NEXT, reboot and carry on :D

are they the chipset drivers? And if they are wich should i do first. Do windows update or install chipset drivers?
