Cannot view "My Computer"

I click my computer in xp and it just freezes before the icons are supposed to appear.
What could be doing this? :confused:

Possibly a virus or spyware. Can you EVER view it, or is it just slow to show up?

Download (free) Spybot and Ad-Aware (just google for them). MAKE SURE to update them before doing a spyware scan.

Could be an unreadable cd/dvd in the drive. But usually My Computer will come up on its own in 15-30 seconds or so if that's the case.
