Ok, someone gave interest in a CPU+MB combo and made an offer. I replied to the offer and haven't heard anything since Thursday afternoon.
How much "dead time" do you usually give before deciding that the offer is gone and is ok to put the item on the board again?

I'd just put the terms in the deal. "Dibs for 24 hrs only" or something to that effect. If they don't respond within 2 days just drop 'em. They'll understand. Money talks.

Yep.. 24hrs is fair and 48 is too much :)
If they were serious about buying it then they should be respectful enough to reply within 24hrs.

Also, if you really want to be on the safe side when you re-post or drop dibs .. send the person who made the previous offer a PM letting them know that you waited and heard no reply so you have put the item back up forsale..

I do this. First email you do offers. Send the guy the reply that you accept the offer and ask for his shipping address. For me dibbs dont count until the price is settled and both parties have the shipping information. Aka they need to reply to my acceptance email with their shipping info. That way i know they got my email and something else (better deal?) didnt come up.
Just saying ya ill take your offer and heres my mailing address doesnt cut it for a complete trade.
