A64 memory set up

Can I put 2x512=1gb in two slots and 1gb stick in the third slot? There are only gonna be three dimm slots because its socket 754. Or should all the sticks match? Thinking of getting the corsair xms 3200 c2pt

Not all 754 mobos will accept them I heard in various reviews that the ram would lower itself down to pc2700 or lower Not sure ask around about it. just get 2 512 spend the extra money for it then if you upgrade to 939 you can transfer the ram and do dual channel
