There is a guy new here on H.
He is demanding I ship a PC first, snd he only has one heatware eval.

He does have 2 Beerology, but both are rather old.

What do I do?

He claims he doesn't want to wait for mailing me payment first, he has waited long enough.

The odd thing is he said he trades in other forums. But he only has one heat?

What do I do?

Yeah. How many heat evals do you have? Are you saying one has to have a lot of heat evals to recognize a trade as sketchy? And here all along I thought it just took common sense!

Edit: Oh snap! I totally misread what you wrote. Sorry for being a sarcastic bitch, stumpy. :(

Just a question have either of you bothered to exchange phone #'s and talk to each other on the phone ? have you looked up his phone # if you do have it to make sure that it's linked to the home address that he has given you as a shipping address these simple things are the best. and there are such things as next day air cost around 15 dollars to next day air a postal money order if he doesn't want to wait.

That is just how i personally deal with things

red flag

Yeah, definate flag on the play here.

Tell him no, that you will not ship first, or cross ship or anything like that. Tell him that you ship only when you have all of the money in your hand.

The damn thing WON'T get shipped at all to him.

I did get his #, supposed to call at 5, my time.

Wife needed stuff from the store for dinner. I missed the 5 o'clock call.

So he threadcraps, calling me a liar!

Hey, lighten up. Some people may think you actually are calling me a troll.

I'll let you know by Tuesday if you get my 21 inches. :)

Ive discovered that at least half of the people that buy/sell here are trolls one way or another. A couple people specifically lowball constantly, and get yelled at by everyone. It just pisses me off.

Reading this, is the kind of thing that makes me not even want to bother with this online trading/selling garbage.

Ok, so I'm new and don't have any heat or any of your little "online evaluations" yet you just assume just for that simple fact that anyone within that category is a "troll". When in reality someone like me is just looking to make a couple bucks without any BS.

I suppose now the accusations will be thrown at me and I'll be flamed and all the typical crap associated with people on the net now for saying this even though I have a product sitting on my kitchen counter all boxed up and ready to ship out over at the UPS store 3 minutes from my front door.

From a NonBiasedUser at that:
Red flag, also post his [H] name so we avoid dealing with him.

Why....because he's new? Thats really the best you've got???

Now tell me, being as non biased as you are, what do YOU know about this person that you've discovered and learned for yourself, that wasn't told to you by another random person that makes him "bad" to deal with? Besides the fact he's new. Sorry to poke the finger at you, but what do expect with that name with that comment in this thread.

Ok, go ahead now....flame away, rip into the new guy. Thats the stereotypical thing to do right? Rip apart the "n00b" as most of you call it.......or you could see it from someone elses point of view, I'm pretty sure none of you wil though.

my two cents...

Ultimately, it is up to the buyer and seller what terms are agreed upon and how the deal is going to go down. I myself dont follow any hard fast rules. I have cross-shipped to some guys that had under 5 heatware with good results. It just depends on that particular trade/sell/buy and how I feel about the individual and their approach to a business agreement.

I wont even get into the pointy finger thing:D

if the guy doesn't wanna wait he should get paypal

That would be my whole thing too, treat it as if it was a business deal at work.

Sorry if I came across a little hard earlier, I guess being stereotyped pisses me off.

Now will someone please take this friggin gfx card off my hands!!!!! It's occupying counter space that I don't have alot of to begin with.......lol :D

Shitty apt. complex with their small cheaply built kitchens.....anyone wanna buy my apartment while I'm at it? :p

my rule of thumb is never ship first ever. they dont like it i'll hold off for another buyer and have never had a problem.

its usually easier to get there money back then it is to get your item back.

Get a phone number and talk to the guy on the other end........I'm well over 50 heat evals.....all of which are positive...most of which are purchases...... I was told by some one a long time ago......"I have 50+ heat and you have two..........I've earned the right not to ship first"....and I understood his point..... :p .......usually if I can verify address and phone number I don't mind cross shipping to someone with 10 or more evals....under ten.......I just pass......especially since as of late a lot of new members will say they are going to ship first.....then just drop off the face of the planet. I'd have lost a bundle if I had paid in advance.

well...i kinda agree with red flags coming up...but i just recently traded with a individual who had 1 heat. he wanted to cross ship and he took pics of the recipts, boxes, etc and that is probably the safest way. other than that, it does seem kinda fishy.
