I have an 80 gig western digital.. model (WD800JB)
i was thinking of getting the 80 gig western digital model WD800JB RLT
cause I found an awsome deal.. can i use these two drives to set up a RAID 1?
Thanks

They don't need to be identical, but they should be as close as possible to ensure data integrity as much as possible. You say you want a "WD800JB RLT"--perhaps that is actually a WD800JB RTL, as in "retail"? If this is true, I doubt there is any difference between the WD800JB you have now and the one you plan to buy.

interesting.. yea the original 800JB i got was OEM.. and the one i found the goodb deal on is from best buy (so it's definatly retail),,, huumm and i did notice that they have the same specs... i'll look into it a bit more

I just double checked.. they seem to both have the same specs.. i guess the RTL just means retail then.. heheh
