Ok, here's the deal on May 11 2004 I purchased a computer from ebay. The guy had 84 positive feedbacks and was registered with ebay for a long while so I thought it was relatively safe. So after shipping and all that the total came to $367. As some of you might know, I am in college so money comes far and inbetween. So I sold the system I was using for the time being a Sony PCV-RX650. Sold that to get the funds to buy the system that this guy was selling. Well, I sent him a MO and after I did that I never recieved any word from him at all. I have contacted the NY PD, they sent me an email about 2 months ago asking for all the emails that we exchanged and I did that. I haven't heard any word sense then and two weeks ago I sent an email to the detective asking about any updates about this. No word sense. I don't really expect to get my money back, but always hope right? Well I was wondering if there was anything else I can do. Here's the information that I have on this guy...

Money orders can be cancelled and you can get the funds back with I believe a short fee.

Try to find out if it's been cashed...Hope you still got that MO slip.

You should have some recourse through ebay ...

You need to call up the PD and speak with the detective. Phone > email. And continue to contact the PD until the detective gets back to you.

Have been trying to get ahold of the dective. Ebay does nothing but put a stop on his ebay account...nothing more.
