Sacred any good?

Having played most rpg's and looking for a new one (need rpg fix) can anyone that has played the game give a little insight on this game? i know it's 2d, and has alot of playable hours. get's mixed reviews. perhaps someone here has played it..

I love it.

It's like a Mix of diablo'ish combat but with some more rpg elements.

The world is fricking HUGE! i mean it has to be one of the biggest worlds in this type of game.

The combat is fun at first, but it can get kind of stale after you've played about 40hours.

The multiplayer is picking up and can be a hoot to play.

It has a "meh" storyline, but the game is fun. If you like exploring and finding things and killing things i'd recommend it.

Don't forget, the US version is censored, it has some gore and stuff cut, the UK version isn't.

thank's for your mini review and heads up about the uk vs us version :) looks like it's time to order it. i'll look for the uk version. i heard it has a large world and it was alot of fun. it's still rather pricey though, but it'll hold me until dungeon seige II (which was just delayed until spring of 05').

Sacred was ok. I played through the single player campaign in about 20 hours, and I had a total of 20% of the world explored (it keeps track of world explored, enemies killed, etc in your journal). There are quite a few easter eggs in the game that make it slightly more amusing while you're playing through. I started out trying to explore every inch of the map, but quickly tired of it and decided to get it all over with.

In it's current state, there are some aspects of the game that are *terribly* broken, as well as a bunch of smaller bugs such as quests that are broken or dont function properly.

Now that I've finished the single player, I probably wont start up the game again any time soon, but it was fairly amusing while I was playing.

i love sacred. call it diablo 2.5 or what u will, i found it to be fun and addictive. over 200 side quests in addition to the main quest. there are a few bugs. but patches will fix, i hope. never played multi, but ive read about a lot of bugs there. all in all, a great time.

Have you patched/looked up upcoming patches Scero?

They are fixing a lot of things, making loot better, etc.

thanks guys :) . just got it from eb. should be here by no later than tuesday.i was going to play prince of persia (my better half's game) just sitting in a box, but i really wanted to play an adventure type rpg.

Prince of persia is a great game aswell, can't wait for the next one :)

So you got the US version i presume? you could have picked up the UK verison on +++++++ for 34.90+shipping.

Yea I've read up on 1.7. It's not going to be enough to bring me back to the game though. Sacred is an ok game in my book, and it pretty much accomplishes what it sets out to do. But I just dont have any desire to play it again. :rolleyes:
