How hard would this be?

My cousin dropped her HP laptop and busted the screen. How hard would it be to change the screen for another? Some FixItPCGuy said it could cost around $400.00. Would a screen even cost that much? I'm thinking most of its to do with the labor(so I would rather do it for her). All I know so far is thats its a HP. I'll post the model # and screen size when she gives me the info.

try ebay. They sometimes have just the lcd's there. It's kind of easy to replace, depending on the model.

I can't imagine that dropping a laptop hard enough to bust the lcd wouldn't do other kinds of damage to it....maybe you should look into the HP warranty or start looking for another laptop :rolleyes:
