I think I found a newer intel chipset driver set, so I downloaded it, but have not installed it. Here is my main question; How do I know what the version/ or date is of the current chipset drivers im using now, and if the ones I've downloaded are newer? I found these drivers here: http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=804.

i was previously using intel inf version 5.0.2.1003. i decided 6.0.1.1002 seemed like a better version number, so i went for it. it didn't cause any problems, installed just fine. but when i went into device manager under system devices i had doubles of every bus entry, one with a conflict, one without.

i have the asus p4p800se, which is an 865 chipset, so i'm not entirely sure these drivers were even meant for my board. the read me for the file says "Target Chipset#: Intel(R) E7520 & Intel(R) 915G/P/GV"

i read the readme after installing.. so just to be safe i did a system restore back to before i messed with my perfectly working system.

i'd say if you've got nothing better to do, go for it.
