ok i just recently installed winxp on my new computer it is running on a sata hd. I seems to be running fine but after i install my mb software and my sound card software i notice that my computer starts runnig slow and the internet is running slow. Then the computer beeps and windows tells me that the "LSA Shell" has encountered and unexpected error. Then a new dialog box comes up with a message saying that my computer will shut down in 50 seconds and this was sent from the NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM... and the file it refers to is C:\\Windows\system32\lsass.exe.

What is all of this and how do i fix the problem i already reinstalled windows and it told me that my creative audigy audio processor (WDM) didnt pass windows logo testing.

I can't even get on the internet without it restating. I cant do anything without it restating

Help Please

Sounds like you may have gotten hit by Sasser or one of the viruses like it. Did you enable the XP firewall *before* connecting it to the internet?
